A Summer Maternity Session at All Who Wander Flower Farm in Dundas Ontario

Soft light, wildflowers, and the quiet anticipation of what’s to come.  This is the type of maternity session that dreams are made of.

Maternity photo of a couple walking hand-in-hand through a wildflower field at All Who Wander Flower Farm in Dundas, Ontario. The pregnant woman wears a flowing white Reclamation Design Company dress as they share a soft, joyful moment during golden hour.

The evening air was warm. That specific kind of late-summer warm that clings to your skin and smells like something you want to hold onto.

Pulling up to All Who Wander Flower Farm in Dundas, Ontario, I already had that feeling. You know the one. Golden light sitting low, wildflowers swaying, the whole place buzzing with the kind of energy that makes you slow down and just be there.

And then they arrived. Hand in hand, grinning, practically glowing.

Their baby hadn’t made an entrance yet, but this family? Already completely, unmistakably them. The way they looked at each other. His hand resting so gently on her belly. Their sweet, scruffy pup trotting alongside them in a “Big Brother” bandana like he absolutely knew what was happening.

They were so ready.

Wildflowers, Poppies & That Perfect Early-Summer Light

We started in the wildflower meadow, poppies swaying and brushing against her dress as she walked through them like she’d always belonged there.

She’d chosen a gorgeous two-piece white Reclamation Design Company gown from my client closet, and it moved with the breeze in the most effortless way. No fighting the wind. Just flow.

There was zero rush to this maternity session at All Who Wander Flower Farm, which is exactly how I love it. We laughed. We wandered. We let quiet moments stay quiet.

Their pup was an absolute character, stealing scenes and dispensing kisses with zero remorse, and honestly, that’s the stuff that makes a session feel real.

As the sun dropped lower, we drifted further into the farm. The rose garden gave us this tucked-away little world that felt entirely theirs. Then the tall grasses, gold and sun-bleached and absolutely glowing, gave us some of my favourite frames of the whole evening.

Connected. Emotional. Not a single posed thing about any of it.

A Maternity Session That Actually Feels Like You

This session wasn’t about perfect posing or checking images off a Pinterest list.  It wasn’t about chasing trends.

It was about them. Who they are right now, in this exact season of life, standing right on the edge of everything changing.

It was about letting their story unfold naturally while the farm did what it does best: wrapping everything in flowers, warm light and that quiet kind of anticipation you can almost feel in the air.

Those are always the images people hold onto longest anyway. The in-between moments. The laughter that wasn’t planned. The way someone instinctively reaches for the person they love.

That’s what I want your photos to feel like years from now.

Why I Love Photographing at All Who Wander Flower Farm

I keep coming back to All Who Wander Flower Farm for maternity sessions because this place genuinely changes with the seasons. And that means every session looks and feels completely different.

Early summer brings delicate wildflowers and poppies. Mid-summer lavender fields that are oh-so-dreamy.  Late summer gives you dahlias in full bloom and those tall grasses that go golden in a way that feels nostalgic in the best possible way.

It never feels repetitive here.

The farm isn’t just a backdrop. It’s a living, breathing part of the story. And for maternity photography especially, that matters. There’s movement everywhere. Texture. Warmth. Space to slow down and actually connect instead of rushing from pose to pose.

That’s the difference
