On a soft, rainy afternoon in Burlington, I had the absolute joy of photographing this laid-back, love-filled couple as they prepared to welcome their first baby. The overcast sky set the tone for a cozy, moody in-home maternity session that felt more like hanging out with old friends than posing for the camera.
And honestly? That’s the best kind of session – the kind where the connection is real, the cuddles are frequent, and the love is so present it practically photographs itself.

While many couples might cross their fingers for golden hour, these two leaned right into the grey skies and rainy-day light. We embraced the natural shadows and soft window glow, creating maternity photos that felt raw, intimate, and totally authentic.

From there, we made our way into their baby’s nursery – one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. One of my favourite parts of the session was when Mama-to-be decided to honour this chapter of transformation with some stunning boudoir-inspired maternity photos.
