Frequently asked Questions
When is the best time to schedule my maternity photos?
The idea time for maternity photos is between 28-34 weeks. At this point in your pregnancy your belly should be round and prominent enough to really accentuate your beautiful pregnant form – but you’re not yet at a point in your pregnancy where you’re terribly uncomfortable and unable to move around with ease.
What should I wear for my maternity photo session?
I offer a client closet with stunning options that really accentuate your bump in the most beautiful, photogenic way. Most clients take advantage of this – and it’s truly what I recommend. Ultimately I suggest you wear what makes you feel beautiful and comfortable. Most clients opt for flowing dresses or fitted tops that highlight their bump. Avoid overly tight fitting clothes that have no movement.
Can my partner and other children be included in the session?
Absolutely! Maternity sessions are a wonderful opportunity to capture the whole family’s excitement. We’ll make sure everyone feels relaxed and enjoys the session.
Can I include personal items or special keepsakes in the shoot?
Of course! Personal touches, like ultrasound photos or family heirlooms, add a special layer to your maternity session. Feel free to bring anything meaningful to you.
I’m so awkward in photos - will you be able to make me look and feel good?
You’re not alone in feeling this way! I’ll help you through every moment of the shoot with friendly guidance and encouragement. My job is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident so that your photos truly reflect your beauty and the joy of your pregnancy. We’ll make sure you look and feel fantastic!
What if i want more than just 30 images?
If you know ahead of time that you’re going to want all the images- then perhaps the All Inclusive package is a better fit. As a bonus, you’ll receive your images faster (within one week) and you get a Complimentary Printed Gift so your images won’t just live on your hard drive – they’ll actually be enjoyed every day!
The other option is that once you receive your proofing gallery, you may purchase 10 extra images for $125, 20 extra images for $200 or the full gallery for $300. Prices subject to HST.
