Earlier this year Laura from @allwhowanderflowerfa

Earlier this year Laura from @allwhowanderflowerfarm shared a vision she had for a sweet motherhood session - she set the scene for me - mom, daughter, and beautiful vintage patchwork quilts hanging on the line. Sprinkle in a little laundry tub, some adorable ducks and a whole lot of magic was about to unfold.

After a bit off a search we found the perfect mother daughter duo in @meglphilpott and before we knew it we were making this dream shoot come to life. 🤍 and I’m not gonna lie… this is definitely a contender for one of my favourite shoots from the past year!

Which moment is your favourite from this session? Let me know in the comments below! 👇🏼

Here’s something worth knowing about that Pinteres

Here’s something worth knowing about that Pinterest board you’ve been saving.

Every photo on it is a highlight pulled from a different family and a different photographer, caught in one unscripted moment. It made the cut because something real happened right then. It wasn’t planned down to the angle.

Trying to recreate it detail for detail pulls you out of your own session. You start watching for the pose instead of being present with your kids. The connection gets lost chasing a copy. And the connection is where the magic lies.

Bring the inspiration in. Use it as a conversation starter, not a checklist. Let your photographer build something that fits your actual family instead of recreating someone else’s moment.

A note for other photographers reading this: say this out loud at the consultation. Clients don’t always realize what they’re asking for when they hand you a screenshot.

Save this for your next consultation. Send it to a client building a mood board.

Can’t wait to share more from this amazing session

Can’t wait to share more from this amazing session! Jessa is the type of hype girl everyone needs in their corner. Since working together last year at a workshop I hosted, Jessa has been the type of client who quickly turns to one of the most supportive friends a girl could ask for.

When she reached out over the winter to schedule a summer session I just KNEW it was going to be epic. As summer got closer we started planning and I loved her vision for a dual style shoot - part romanticized, dressed up pretty in an idyllic setting. And the other half in their regular clothes, editorial style hanging out on the iconic Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls - a place that means so much to Jessa’s family.

Thanks @jessafergie for the testimonial and amazing session, and to @contentconcierge.ca for completing the vision with your creative videos to accompany their awesome session!

This session is a prime example of what happens when you’re not afraid of a little rain in the forecast!

This was my second time working with this beautiful family and the first time we had very hot, humid and windy weather - this time, a BIIIIIIIIIG storm was approaching the area and fast. We connected after she’d done school pickup and decided if we were going to proceed we probably should bump the session up about an hour and a half. So we battled through rush hour traffic to get from Burlington to Battlefield Park in Stoney Creek… and we were rewarded with an empty park! Thankfully we only had to bring out the umbrellas for about 5-10min and it was only a light sprinkle.

What’s more important is that we had the space to let the kiddos roam, run wild, fly the kite and just be themselves- afterall, the best photos aren’t necessarily the ones in the most photogenic locations in the perfect conditions, it’s when you and your family can let loose and just be yourselves!

Only 3 full sessions left for 2026- will you be snagging one of them? Hit that Inquire button in my link in bio!

😍 This is what happens when you hand a mama a @reclamationdesigncompany and tell her to walk into the lake at sunset.

I first met @t.dut and her girls when they modelled for one of my workshops. So when Theresa came back this year with a vision for a beach session, I already knew the spot.

The sky went from blue to soft orange and back to deep blue again. The girls splashed. Sandcastles got built. And somewhere in there, even the most reluctant family member let their guard down and just... enjoyed being together.

Mama’s gown came from my client closet. Tilly wore one of my favourite little girl dresses. This family looked incredible, and now they have photos from summer 2026 to hold onto forever.

Only 4 weekday sessions left for full sessions in 2026.
